DESCRIPTION
Our Ethereal ¼ Black Mist Filter Plus+ diffuses bright and close light sources to soften contrast and create a smooth haze effect. When used with modern digital cameras, the filter softens extreme sharpness and replicates the cinematic qualities of film photography.
Part of our Plus+ range, the filter features 20 layers of nano-coating for easier cleaning and better protection against water, oil and scratches. These layers also provide a higher maximum light transmission and a more consistent transmission curve for sharper images, finer colours and greater depth.

How to Use

Find your filter size
Inquisitively search lens for diameter symbol. Ø often marks the spot. The diameter you seek may be accompanied by a number – Ø58 or Ø58mm. Look to the side and the front – this precious number is your filter size. Be warned: your lens focal length (e.g. 18-55mm) is not your filter size.

Place flat and screw clockwise
Carefully behold lens in one hand and place filter flat on lens. Gently screw clockwise until just firm. Do not over-tighten that which goes on must one day come off.

Shoot as usual
Our UV Filter doesnt affect exposure settings so you can boldly shoot wherever your heart desires, safe in the knowledge your lens is now better protected against the elements and UV haze isnt an issue.

Loosen up
To keep ones heart young and lens filter safe, we recommend you loosen up now and then. Gently loosen then retighten your filter to avoid any sticky situations.

Taming the sharpness.
Well, what can I say? This filter is brilliant. I love to use my Fujifilm 16mm and 56mm lenses most of the time with my X-T4, but these lenses can be a little too sharp for my liking since the majority of my lenses are vintage. This filter tames the sharpness of my modern lenses while still allowing the lens to shine! It scatters the light wonderfully and "bakes in" a decent amount of grain, giving that perfect vintage film stock feel. I would highly recommend this filter.
