In settings, enable "Release Shutter Without Lens". Press the camera's 'MODE" button and select Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (AV).

Align the red dots on your lens and adapter, and rotate clockwise until locked.

Attach the adapter to your camera as you would a lens, rotating it clockwise until it clicks into place.

Tenderly press release button and unscrew lens from adapter by rotating counter-clockwise.
A really good, affordable and quality adapter. Used on my Canon EOS R100 with my Canon EF 55-250mm lens, but you will be locked to an open aperture and manual focus. It is still definitely worth it.
Great product
I have an old sigma 1.4 30mm lens, and wanted to attach it to my EOS R camera, but with the original canon adapter that doesn't work because the old lens makes the wrong communication, and the camera doesn't even work than. Now I bought the Urth EF to RF adapter, and because it has no contacts at all, there can be no mis-communication, and so I can use the lens manual focus, and only with aperture in fully open position, but that is fine with me because I like the lens for portraits with blurry background. Good Solution!
