DESCRIPTION
This filter has a 1 f-stop darkening across the centre of the filter to darken bright horizons for landscape photography. This allows you to balance your exposure when there is bright light on the horizon and a darker foreground and skyline, and capture more detail within the lowlights and highlights.
Our Plus+ range features 20 layers of nano-coating providing a more consistent transmission curve for truer light reduction, easier cleaning and better protection against water, oil and scratches.
All our square filters plant 5 trees, fit with most square filter holders, and come in a protective Kraftex pouch for safe storage, a recycled cleaning cloth and recycled plastic-free packaging.

How to Use

Find your filter size
Search your lens and find the diameter symbol Ø followed by a number e.g. Ø58 or Ø58mm). This can be found on the front or side of your lens – this magic number is your filter size. Note: Your lens focal length (e.g. 18-55mm) is not your filter size.

Place flat and screw clockwise
Lovingly behold lens in one hand and place flat on lens. Gently screw clockwise until just firm. Do not over-tighten – that which goes on must one day come off.

Slow your shutter
The fixed f-stop darkening of your images allows a controlled slowing of your shutter speed for motion blur effects.

Open your aperture
Or, you can adjust for fixed f-stop darkening by opening up your aperture, which creates a shallower depth of field. You can also combine both exposure setting adjustments.
