Set Camera to Manual

Set mode to Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (A). Set lens to Manual Focus (MF) if there's an AF/MF switch.

Attach Lens to Adapter

Align the lens to the adapter, and rotate clockwise until locked.

Mount Adapter to Camera

Attach the adapter to your camera as you would a lens, rotating it counter-clockwise until it clicks into place.

Remove from lens

Definitively unscrew lens from adapter by rotating counter-clockwise.

Good adapter, with some nits.

The adapter works great, with some caveats:

- On the camera mount side, it seems like it goes past the white dot on the camera side. It feels like it over screws if you mount it while keeping the lens release button pressed. Definitely a bit scary the first time it happens.

- The design of the adapter, with the lens mount flush with the front of the adapter, means that some M39 lenses can't be used. This is the case with the collapsible Industar 50mm 3.5, as the focus tab of the lens requires some clearing around the lens mount. Other collapsible lenses like the Leica Summicron 50/2 work fine

M39 adapter

The Urth M39 adapter is perfect. There is a snug fit for my FED 10 50 mm Russian lens on one side and the Nikon Z mount on the other. There is no ‘give’ in the system. The photos I’ve taken show no light leaks and excellent focus even at infinity, Could not be happier.
