Set Camera to Manual

In settings, enable "Release Shutter Without Lens". Press the camera's 'MODE" button and select Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (AV).

Attach Lens to Adapter

Align the red dots on your lens and adapter, and rotate clockwise until locked.

Mount Adapter to Camera

Attach the adapter to your camera as you would a lens, rotating it clockwise until it clicks into place.

Remove from lens

Tenderly press release button and unscrew lens from adapter by rotating counter-clockwise.

Excellent quality

I have recently purchased a Canon R series camera and am ecstatic that I can use all my old Contax/yashica lenses from my film camera.

Although focusing and aperature control are

manual only, the camera provides automatic ISO and shutter control which can be overridden. The camera's light meter can be set to all available values including spot, centre weight, etc. Program mode, Shutter Priority mode and Manual mode are all available.

Pics turn out nice and sharp.

I recommend.
