Set mode to Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (A). Set lens to Manual Focus (MF) if there's an AF/MF switch.

Before attaching the lens, rotate the adapter’s ring to align the marker with the “>|” (Open) position.

Align the lens to the adapter, and rotate clockwise until locked. If applicable, turn the lens' silver base ring counter-clockwise until locked.

Attach the adapter to your camera as you would a lens, rotating it counter-clockwise until it clicks into place.

Knowingly rotate textured ring towards the "o<" mark. Then use your lens' aperture ring in to adjust aperture.
This is a well built sturdy adapter that I bought to use with my Nikon Z6. I have used it with many different FD lenses, even with a 900gr manual tamron with an Adaptall 2 Lens Mount Adapter. Everything feels perfect and no play at all, once mounted to the camera. I highly recommend it.
Perfect fit, finish and design. The adapter works exactly as I hoped it would! Focusing works through the lens' complete range, right to infinity.
Totally amazing that I can use lenses that I used at college in the early '80s on a new Nikon Zf, plus they kind of look right on it.
I tend to shoot in manual mode most of the time anyway so have no issues with the 'slowness' this brings. I also still use film, so I can pack my Nikon Zf along side my trusty Canon AT-1 and lenses to keep my kit carry to a minimum in a small bag.
